Hi, I’m Alicia.

Stuck in your head?

Overthink...Overanalyze... Break the Cycle...

Overthink...Overanalyze... Break the Cycle...

Stuck in your head? Do you overthink and overanalyze? Anxiety lies to us, telling us to plan, perform, critique, reject (and repeat).

Fear preoccupies our minds with worst-case scenarios, while our insecurities steal our time, peace, and energy. Shame and overwhelm bottle up during the day, and insecurities haunt us at night.

And despite your best efforts, you still feel unappreciated and unworthy.

You just can’t seem to feel like you’re good enough.

What if you could release control and embrace yourself and uncertainty—without feeling distressed!

What if you could tell your anxiety to “get lost” and feel peace and joy again?

I’m a neurodivergent therapist who specializes in working with adults who have spent much of their lives feeling “too much,” “not enough,” misunderstood, criticized, overwhelmed, or like they are constantly trying to decode the rules of relationships.

My clinical focus includes ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, OCD, Avoidant Personality Disorder, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, and childhood trauma. Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful, sensitive, creative, high-masking, deeply self-aware, and exhausted from trying so hard to appear okay.

You may be the person everyone sees as capable, responsible, intelligent, driven, or “high-functioning” — while privately feeling anxious, ashamed, lonely, emotionally flooded, or disconnected from yourself. You may overthink every interaction, replay conversations, brace for criticism, apologize too much, struggle to ask for what you need, or feel guilty whenever you disappoint someone. You may know, logically, that you are allowed to have boundaries, rest, preferences, and needs — but your nervous system still reacts as if taking up space is dangerous.

I specialize in supporting adult children of parents, caregivers, family members, or partners with narcissistic, antagonistic, emotionally immature, controlling, or obsessive-compulsive personality traits.

Growing up around criticism, emotional unpredictability, rigidity, manipulation, perfectionism, or chronic control can leave you questioning your reality, minimizing your pain, overexplaining yourself, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions. You may grieve what you did not receive while still feeling love, loyalty, guilt, confusion, anger, or fear about the people who hurt you.

I also work with ambitious adults in high-stress careers who struggle with workaholic patterns, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, people-pleasing, and burnout.

Sometimes achievement becomes a survival strategy. You may be praised for your productivity while quietly running on depletion, afraid that if you slow down, everything will fall apart — or that without your usefulness, you will not know who you are.

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, practical, and honest. I bring warmth, curiosity, humor when appropriate, and a deep respect for the ways people learn to survive. Together, we can explore your nervous system, attachment patterns, identity, boundaries, shame, self-trust, relationship patterns, and the protective strategies that once helped you but may now be keeping you small.

Our work may include techniques from CBT, DBT, ACT, CFT, EFT, mindfulness, grounding exercises, and nervous-system-based coping skills. We may also explore childhood attachment wounds, trauma, family dynamics, perfectionism, avoidance, emotional neglect, and the beliefs you absorbed about your worth, safety, responsibility, and right to exist as your full self.

My job is not to “fix” who you are. My goal is to help you understand yourself with more compassion, feel less alone, and build a life that fits your brain, your body, your values, and your actual needs.

One of the most freeing revelations we can experience is this:

You are allowed to take up space.
